Family Story

A year or so ago my Mother-in-love began to compile her testimony and journey in ministry into one central location.  She did this for a while, not letting many of us know what her intentions were.  Writing a book about your own life, is really personal and a serious undertaking.

Linda, a prayer warrior, trusted God with every step of the making of this book.  God directed her steps in detail helping her to know what parts of her story to share and also who to publish her book.

When I found out what she was doing, I was so excited.  I have always had a value for writing and the importance of recording your life lived out before the Lord.  The thing that has driven me to keep a journal is a desire for my children to have a record of their Dad’s life and testimony of God’s goodness.  Having in book form my family’s heritage is priceless to me.

In this book you will learn how God was working in Linda and her family to shape them for where they are today.  With Love From Jesus Ministries was birthed in the midst of this story.  I have the privilege of serving at this ministry and also watched its birth. It is hard to believe that we have grown from working out of garages to a 12,000 sq/ft warehouse and a small house in Johnston County.(bordering county to ours)

God specifically called Linda to write and publish this book for this season in our American history.  It seems that there is so much division in our country and in God’s church.  We  believe that God is changing that and waking His people up to the need for displaying unity.

I am sharing this little bit about this book, not because Linda asked me to, but to maybe encourage others to get a copy for themselves and be encouraged in this living testimony.  God cares about every detail of your and my life.  He also wants to walk with us through these details.  He meant what He said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” “…I AM with you always, even to the end of the age.”-are not just nice words.  He means what He says.  Without saying, I am very proud of Linda for following God’s prompting to write this book.

The Day Before…

Here I sit at my computer with my coffee gazing out the window of my office, one day before I marry my second oldest daughter off.  For a few months now we have as so many other families before us, prayed, planned and re-planned the details of a wedding.

A Gift

Today God gave me a gift in the form of a stranger.  While waiting to have a tire repaired on my car, a man came into the shop waiting room.  He was clearly a painter, judging from the clothes that had paint of all different colors on them.  He had a very pleasant disposition.  I am not one to usually strike up a conversation in a waiting room, plus I had brought along a book to read.
